MÜNCHINGER duoline

In wooden windows, the parapet joints in the lower area are among the most vulnerable zones. Depending on the hazard class and durability class of the wood species used, problems can arise in these areas.

The duoline scantling was specially designed for such stresses. The combination of different types of wood results in a profile that is both easy to work with and meets the requirements of weather-exposed components.

Structure of the duoline scantling

The inner side or middle layer of duoline consists of spruce or pine. Both types of wood are characterised by a good balance between strength, workability and cost-effectiveness. In addition, they have favourable lambda values, which has a positive effect on the thermal behaviour of the entire window profile. The selection of this inner lamella enables stable constructions with efficient use of materials.

Oregon pine is used for the outer lamella, which is exposed to the weather. This type of wood is known for its high durability and good resistance to moisture. Due to its suitability for daily use under high loads, it is particularly suitable for window areas that are exposed to special stresses.

The combination of a weather-resistant top layer and a stable middle layer creates a balanced scantling profile that offers reliable properties for both indoor and outdoor use.

Glued with D4 adhesive in accordance with EN 204 as standard.
