MÜNCHINGER’s square timber is made from selected, fine-grained raw wood and processed according to strict quality criteria. Modern manufacturing processes, precise gluing technology and controlled drying ensure a particularly dimensionally stable and durable product.

Several proven types of wood are used in the production of our scantlings. Each of these has specific technical and visual properties that have proven themselves in window construction for many years.
All variants of our window scantlings focus on dimensional stability, a high-quality surface finish and reliable further processing.

We offer the following types of wood:

Fir – lat. Abies alba (ABAL)

Colour variations that are typical for this wood species, multi-glued with D4 glue as per EN 204, basically defectfree, vertical/ semi vertical grain, block profile, kiln-dried. Also available with PEFC certificate!

Beech – lat. Fagus sylvatica (FASY)

Made of steamed beech, no warranty for species-specific warping, natural colour variations as permitted for beech, multi-glued with D4 glue as per EN 204, kiln-dried. Also available with PEFC certificate!

European Larch – lat. Larix spp. (LAER, LADC, LAXX)

Certified by i.f.t.-Rosenheim*, colour variations that are typical for this wood species, basically defectfree, vertical/semi vertical grain, multi-glued with D4 glue as per EN 204, block profile, kiln-dried. Also available with PEFC certificate!

ACCOYA® – lat. modified Pinus radiata

Accoya® cover plies with a thickness of at least 22 mm, falling structure, strong colour variations and batten stripes that are typical for Accoya® cannot be excluded and do not justify complaints; suitable for opaque coating (outdoors!) Accsys recommends all parts, such as screws and hardware, that have contact with the wood and the remaining vinegar acid in the wood are made of stainless steel. The plies are glued with PU adhesive; no finish planing is applied after gluing. (PU adhesive might escape at the edges!) Available as pure Accoya® scantling or combined with pine or spruce, in rifts/half rifts. 

Also available with PEFC certificate!

Cover plies made of spruce, pin knots and resin pockets that are characteristic features of spruce cannot be excluded, basically defectfree, vertical/semi vertical grain, intermediate ply made of high-density insulating material with a lambda value of 0.04 W/m²K, consisting of individual plies of 2.15 m each, laid next to each other with a butt joint without gluing; cutting residues are also integrated; spruce real-wood lipping on one side, multi-glued with PU adhesive. Also available with PEFC certificate!
